Vans Inspired Birthday Treats

Another surprise treat for a FAB 12 year-old. The mum threw a suprise Fashion Show inspired party, and her daughter loves Vans trainers as most young teens do! The shoebox was a coconut cake filled with chocolate & coconut ganache, covered in black sugarpaste and adorned with the Vans shoebox logo, and the trainer was a chocolate fudge cake filled with chocolate & coconut ganache. The birthday girl loves purple too, so we designed a purple checkered Vans inspired trainer cake, and hand painted the check pattern. This is our first trainer cake, and I am quite pleased with how it turned out. My kids are impressed and the cake got a thumbs up/ seal of approval! Here are a few shots (the cake was still drying though!)

More to come this week Red Velvet Betty Boo cake, Valentines Treat Buffet, Mickey Mouse and more (hopefully taken with the new camera...yay!!). I'll also share some yummy pancake fillings for Pancake Day/ Shrove Tuesday - Tuesday 21st Februay, roll on Lent/Ash Wednesday, roll on Easter, which means Springtime and a renewed You!!

Oh, by the way, my goal for this month...work on my website...work in progress, new look coming soon!!!

Sweet Wishes & 2 Kisses!

Where Has The Time Gone...2012?!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!! 2012 is upon us...yay!

Ok, I know I am a bit behind, but I just haven't found a moment to sit down and update the blog, it has been that busy. And then when things finally slowed down...I was burnt out...physically, mentally and spiritually! I had a cold over Christmas & NY's (running trend with me!), but I perservered and made it into 2012 exhausted!!

I can't believe I posted nothing during the Christmas period, and there I was thinking I have got soo much to share, but it's been crazy! I went to Taste of Christmas 2011 and had a really FAB time and had so much to share with you, and never got around to blogging about my day and all the Christmas tips & ideas...next time...Christmas 2012!!

My mini me trying out Heston's Magical Christmas kitchen at Taste of Christmas

Can you believe we're in 2012? I remember being in primary school, thinking 2012 seems thousands of years away, but it's here. My prayer for you all is that 2012 brings you peace, joy, plenty of love and most of all abundant blessings! I haven't made any New Year resolutions, having never fulfilled any, so I have decided to set myself a short list of monthly goals. More exercise is definitely on the list (I joined the gym last year for the first time, signed up for a year and went there about 6 times towards the earlier part of year...sad I am!). Hmmm, I am still working on my list & will share it as soon as I am done!

With 2011 just yesterday, we have treats to share! The Princess Party was sooo adorable and fun to do, although we lost the legs for our table (don't ask...!) But it worked out! Here's a sneak peek...

We baked lots of yummy treats throughout December, including a 14", 3 layer Red Velvet Christmas Cake, it was massive cake! Here's a peak of some recent treats...

Pink & Gold Birthday Cake - Red Velvet

Lilac Spotty Gift Box Cake - Red Velvet

1-2-3-4 Thank-You Cake (nursery) - Vanilla Bean

Baby Bag Cake - Vanilla Bean

Glitzy Chocolate Rose Birthday Cupcakes - Red Velvet

Christmas Treat Cupcakes - Vanilla Bean & Chocolate Sponge

Red Velvet Cupcakes & Midnight Safari Cupcakes

We have more treats to follow, just too many pics, but will post some more soon!

4 cakes in one day, and rapidly running out of steam...These last four cakes were done on the last day of 2011, my 2 gorgeous little nephews turned 1 & 3, Dylan's dad celebrated his birthday too, and my sister-in-law had a birthday within her family! So 2011 is finally OVER...

Mickey Mouse Fresh Cream Cake (Dylan is a "Nickey Nouse" superfan!!)

Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt Cake - Red Velvet (this was my first attempt at a shirt cake...)

BMW Logo Cake - Vanilla Bean

Winnie the Pooh Birthday Cake - Vanilla Bean

So, here's wishing you a Prosperous and Peaceful 2012 from us all at CC Treats. 2011 had its ups and downs, but we wouldn't change it for the world! Thank you for all your continued support, kind words and encouragement in 2011...we hope you will continue to follow us throughout 2012!

Look out for our Valentines Treat table...yes I said it...Valentine's Day is right around the corner, the same way the supermarkets are already stocking Easter Eggs...Spring...I can see you in the distance!!

Keep warm!

Blessed Wishes & 2 Kisses!!
