The Royal Wedding Has Come & Gone!

So the Royal Wedding has come and gone in a split second. For almost 48hours we were glued to screen watching and waiting...watching and waiting, and then bam it's all over, well at least for us! I watched with anticipation, caught up in the Will & Kate fever that had taken over all forms of media.

It was exciting to see and when the bride emerged from the car outside Westminster Abbey we were truly blown away. She was elegant, understated, classic, an English rose, and was a reflection of the innocence of a bride. The subtle intricate details of the dress were simply stunning. I must admit I have seen better dresses (just my opinion), but her dress defined her and was fitting for this "simple" Royal wedding, which is what some brides should really consider when choosing a wedding dress. Is your dress a reflection of who you are, and the theme/atmosphere of your wedding. It was refreshing that only jewel sparkle came from her tiara and earrings...it REALLY shows that less (bling) is more!!
The ceremony, the carriage ride down the Mall, the balcony kiss, the departure in the classic Aston Martin, was just the beginning, then I felt like it was over in a flash...after all that waiting I wanted to see more! The evening guests arriving, the wedding setup, the Royal dinner service, the cake cutting, the first dance and the real party...I guess my invitation got lost in the post, but I would have loved to be fly on the wall during the wedding reception...if only flies could talk!!

The tweeters were interesting and funny to follow and the best one for me was first full image of Catherine Middleton in her dress before she became the Duchess of Cambridge. The Wedding Dress Revealed by Vogue Magazine!!! That image was up within seconds of seeing the images live on TV!

I didn't make my way up to Buckingham Place or Westminster Abbey...I felt my TV was big enough to give me the best seat that my money could buy... so I took a few images with the i-phone as I tweeted throughout the ceremony! So hey, I was there not in body just in spirit!!

We wish the happy couple many abundant blessings and life filled with peace, love and happiness!!

Chocolate Festival

A Chocolate filled afternoon was the order of the day last Sunday... I took my girls to an Easter Chocolate Festival on the Southbank. The purpose was to learn more about Chocolate and see what's new on the market, but the results were that I didn't want to see chocolate ever again!!! Now that's a joke! But it's true, I was just overwhelmed by the amount of chocolate I had sampled. There were probably just 2 chocolatiers that really stood out for me, as it was a very informal festival!

I sampled some delicious chocolate made with cocoa beans from Northwest Ecuador, Eastern D.R Congo, the Bolivian Amazon and the Peruvian Andes. The Original Bean packaging is very chic and stylish, and the chocolate is just right on the palette as it didn't leave that bitter cocoa after taste that some chocolates have. I am a lover of Dark Chocolate.

Another chocolatier, Rococo had a variety of choccies to choose from, so I bought some mini Chocolate Bee Bars in Sea Salt and a Dark Chocolate Violet Floral Bee Bar... ymmm. I am yet to indulge, so I will let you know how they go down as a treat!

I also bought some handmade dark chocolate fudge, which turned out to be dark chocolate squares, but they were still delish, and on my way to the car, I couldn't resist and bought a Hepburn...it's large brownie cross cake thing...it was huge, rich and very bad on the calories!

So after over indulging in creamy Ice-creams from Dorset with honeycomb bits, Pancakes drizzled with chocolate sauce, fresh strawberries and a sprinkle of Tia-Maria, milk chococlates easter eggs, a quick stroll along the Embankment was a lovely way to complete the day, and attempt to burn the calories!
