The Channel Dinner

Not too long ago, CocktailCouture Events were called upon to transform a Church hall into an elegant setting for a Gala Fundraiser within a Parish community. The dinner was held to raise funds in support of and to launch the quarterly Parish Magazine. The theme was centred around Harvest, with a warm Autumn colour palette of rustic red, olive green and burnt orange. It was a challenge working around the various Church artefact's, that could not be moved.

Guests included the now Archbishop of Southwark, the local MP Teresa May, various Church Clergy and members of the various congregations. The pianist serenaded guests as they dined on a 3 course dinner, and the evening ended with a Silent Auction. The end result was a sophisticated ambience of candle lit tables, that scented the room with a light apple and papaya fragrance, crystals floating in water caught the soft lighting. We worked with one of our trusted suppliers to create the monogram that was carried across the invitations, seating plan, table numbers and menu cards.

It was truly an evening enjoyed by all... although luck was not on my side, as I did not win the bid on the holiday for 4 to Portugal... however I was with the winner in Spirit!!

Look out for our post on Seating Etiquette, to help you avoid those embarrassing situations...!
