Cheetah print often comes across a bit "cheezy", and is normaly associated with more adult events such as Hen nights or Lingerie parties. So we had plan the event style with children in mind, always making sure that the cheetah print was used in the right places, so as she's 8, we kept it 8 year-old chic, with subtle touches of the cheetah print, setting it of against a hot purple, & a hot blue cheetah style print thanks to designer Bluwmagik!! The Pound store never lets me down with great finds for the accessories, including reusable bowls & cups in the right shades of the colour scheme in their picnic section. We used cheetah stars; hot blue silicone cupcake cases for the sweets; gold coloured plates to add some bling; soft blue & purple organza ribbons; purple & blue pom-poms; blue straws and a purple & cheetah print banner. So from Cheetah Charm Shoot juice, to cheetah print lollipops; charming Cheetah Charm cupcakes to Girl Power choccies...she had it all! Here's a sneak peak...

I have to agree, animal prints in any form have a tendency to look a bit wrong for children (and adults on occasion) but your Cheetah Girls party layout looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI'm especially loving the fact that you did it all with contrasting colours, not the usual suspects. The kids must have loved it!
