Cupcake Cravings
The other day I had a cupcake craving, so instead of popping out to buy ONE, I baked some and then they were too cute to eat...
Happy Birthday to my little Bro, mwah, mwah!!

Floral Birthday Treats
I have been away unwinding...that was one of my goals for this month! I caught a cold AGAIN...urrgh, so I started to consider the flu jab for next winter...nah! Lots of fresh oranges, lemon & honey, couple if vitamins and plenty of rest. I have been quite run down, so I am feeling GREAT now!
I have been working on re-designing my site and deciding on which events to take part in this year, so this is taking up most of my free time...when I'm not baking! My other goal for this month was to be in bed by 10.30pm (I used to stay up until past 12am!), I have half achieved this, but still struggling to get up earlier. The other goal was to have ALOT more me time...erm still working on that. It's definitely important to find sometime for yourself to clear your mind, empty all those thoughts and worries that clog up the brain...be at peace internally, and this reflects on your outlook on everything. Oh and one more goal...Remembering to SMILE...my name RUFARO, means happiness in Shona, so I am trying to always be happy! Roll on February...
Here are some pics of the Shabby Chic inspired cake that I made my sister for her "3something'th" birthday! She likes all things pretty and elegant, so her cake pretty much summed this up! The cake was was covered in a soft caramel coloured sugarpaste, adorned with sugarflowers, hand piped pearls, floral pendants, and light turquoise and pink ribbons.
Looking forward to posting more treats...For one exciting cake that we have designed, here's a hint...and breathe!

Where Has The Time Gone...2012?!
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!! 2012 is upon us...yay!
Ok, I know I am a bit behind, but I just haven't found a moment to sit down and update the blog, it has been that busy. And then when things finally slowed down...I was burnt out...physically, mentally and spiritually! I had a cold over Christmas & NY's (running trend with me!), but I perservered and made it into 2012 exhausted!!
I can't believe I posted nothing during the Christmas period, and there I was thinking I have got soo much to share, but it's been crazy! I went to Taste of Christmas 2011 and had a really FAB time and had so much to share with you, and never got around to blogging about my day and all the Christmas tips & ideas...next time...Christmas 2012!!
Can you believe we're in 2012? I remember being in primary school, thinking 2012 seems thousands of years away, but it's here. My prayer for you all is that 2012 brings you peace, joy, plenty of love and most of all abundant blessings! I haven't made any New Year resolutions, having never fulfilled any, so I have decided to set myself a short list of monthly goals. More exercise is definitely on the list (I joined the gym last year for the first time, signed up for a year and went there about 6 times towards the earlier part of year...sad I am!). Hmmm, I am still working on my list & will share it as soon as I am done!
With 2011 just yesterday, we have treats to share! The Princess Party was sooo adorable and fun to do, although we lost the legs for our table (don't ask...!) But it worked out! Here's a sneak peek...
We baked lots of yummy treats throughout December, including a 14", 3 layer Red Velvet Christmas Cake, it was massive cake! Here's a peak of some recent treats...
We have more treats to follow, just too many pics, but will post some more soon!
4 cakes in one day, and rapidly running out of steam...These last four cakes were done on the last day of 2011, my 2 gorgeous little nephews turned 1 & 3, Dylan's dad celebrated his birthday too, and my sister-in-law had a birthday within her family! So 2011 is finally OVER...
Mickey Mouse Fresh Cream Cake (Dylan is a "Nickey Nouse" superfan!!)
